The Willow Group

Recovery after family violence

The Willow Group is an 8-week online therapeutic group for women who have experienced family violence and are ready for supported recovery and rebuilding.

Like the willow, this group is about strength with flexibility - offering a steady, compassionate space to heal, reconnect, and move forward at a pace that feels safe.

This program is for women who are not currently experiencing active family violence and are no longer living with the perpetrator, with a focus on stabilisation, capacity-building, and connection.

What you’ll gain:

  • A trauma-informed understanding of family violence

  • Nervous system and emotional regulation to support with shame, triggers, and self-care

  • Increased confidence, resilience, and connection

  • Parenting support, including co-regulation, boundaries, and understanding children through a trauma lens

Program details:

  • 1.5 hours per session

  • Small group (10 people max)

  • Two experienced facilitators

  • Online

A workspace with a MacBook, a black coffee mug, a package of Zest Tea, a teabag hanging above the mug, and a laptop displaying an email or webpage, surrounded by green plants near a window.

If you are linked in with a community organisation, ask them about the group as we offer it within different orgs as well.

No formal referral is required for our services, self referrals and from organisations e.g. case manager or psychologist are accepted.
